Tamarack Baumann Core Deuteragonist & Romance Lead Energetic, spirited, slightly raspy, candid, candid outdoor exuberance. Casting finalized to capture both her wild age-10 tree-climbing spirit and mature age-22 vocal resonance.
Qiu Lin Core Deuteragonist & Romance Lead Gentle, understated, soft-spoken warmth, calm and thoughtful cadence. Voiced with nuanced non-binary/he/they presence; delivers comforting emotional support.
Baxter Ward Cameo Resident (Age 13 in Step 1) Cultured, slightly haughty youth with hidden vulnerability. Reprising from Our Life: Beginnings & Always with specialized younger vocal direction.
Ren & Opal Neighborhood Friends & Siblings Lively, playful, youthful banter. Featured in group moments like Trick-or-Treat and Slumber Party.

✨ How the 1,600+ Voiced Names System Works

Following the groundbreaking success of the voiced name list in Beginnings & Always, the Kickstarter campaign for Our Life: Now & Forever funded an astonishing library of over 1,600 unique player names recorded by the voice actors!

How Ren'Py Selects Your Voiced Name:

When you type your first name during protagonist creation, the game checks its internal phonetic database. If an exact or phonetic match exists (e.g. "Alex", "Jordan", "Maya", "Sam"), the voice actors will pronounce your name out loud in voice-acted scenes.

What If My Name Isn't on the List?

If your custom name is not in the database, the game dynamically defaults to sweet, affectionate generic nicknames (such as "friend", "sweetheart", or custom nicknames chosen in your character sheet), so your immersion is never broken.
